I’m a multimedia producer with a wide range of skills working in the digital/broadcast media industry. I’m currently a Social Video Producer at NJ.com where I write, film and edit video pieces for our website and social media outlets. I graduated in 2018 from The School of Communication and Information at Rutgers University with a Bachelor's Degree in Journalism and Media Studies and a minor in Dance.
Previously, I was an Associate Producer for “The ReidOut with Joy Reid” where I cut video for our nightly live show. I pride myself on the top quality soundbites I can turn around in a pinch for breaking news situations. I’ve also written and produced high-quality montages for the show, which you can view here. Of all the opportunities I’ve had with the team, I’m most proud of producing Moment of Joy segments—segments in which Joy shares feel-good stories and videos that aim to put a smile on the viewer’s face during especially difficult news cycles. In addition to that, I’ve cut tape for debate nights, primary night, election 2020 night and the inauguration of President Joe Biden.
Before “The ReidOut,” I started my career in television production as a Graphics Production Assistant on “Hardball with Chris Matthews” where I collaborated with segment producers and advised them how to create the most effective and visually appealing graphics to compliment their script. During my time as a Graphics PA, I was trusted by my superiors to train new PAs from other shows, including “AM Joy” and “The 11th Hour with Brian Williams”.
I have a lengthy history of internships, with a total of five semesters interning at ABC's “The Chew”, The Food Network's “Chopped” and New Jersey 101.5. I was the Coordinator's Assistant for New Jersey 101.5's Big Joe Jersey Talent Show where I managed the show, helped with the audition and registration process, kept the show running on time, and wrote weekly pieces for the station's website. I was a newscaster at my university's radio station (WRSU-FM) where I gathered, wrote, and broadcasted weekly news.
I’ve volunteered at several places in both Illinois and New Jersey, including Jersey Cares, Friendship Village, and several marathons and dances in support of children with disabilities. In addition, I’ve also worked at the Rutgers Developmental Disabilities Center as an after school assistant for students with autism.
In my free time, you can catch me at the roller rink. I’m also a member of Continuum Dance Company, a company created for dancers who have pursued other professions but still keep the love of dance in their hearts.
